Tomatillos

Tomatillos, also known as Mexican husk tomatoes, are small, round fruits encased in a dry, papery husk. When raw, they are firm with a bright, tart, and citrusy flavour. Once cooked, their sharp acidity mellows into a savoury, slightly sweet taste that perfectly thickens sauces. They are delicious in stir fries!
